Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of a11y.tr, a platform where app developers who are blind or visually impaired publish their apps, release notes and download links, and where visitors find and follow them. By using the site, creating an account or sending us a message, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
a11y.tr is operated by Can Kırca ("we", "us"), who provides a directory of apps, developer profiles, release history, subscriptions and a simple issue-reporting form. We link to apps and files that developers host themselves or in app stores. We do not host or distribute app files.
2. Developer accounts
- Developer accounts are created through an application and may be approved or declined by us, for example to prevent spam or impersonation.
- You must give accurate information, keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly about suspected misuse. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You may only publish apps and releases that you made or are authorised to publish.
- You may add other people to help manage an app only if you trust them; you remain responsible for what they publish.
3. What you publish
You keep ownership of the content you publish (descriptions, release notes, FAQs, documents, links, images). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, format, translate on request and distribute that content through the site, its feeds and notifications, for as long as you keep it published.
You confirm that your content is accurate, lawful, does not infringe anyone's rights, and that download links lead where they say they do.
4. AI-assisted drafts and incoming announcements
You can add releases by email, by forwarding an announcement to our WhatsApp Business number, by pasting text, or through our API. We may use AI to turn an announcement into a draft. Drafts are suggestions and can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing a draft before it is published, or for the content that is published automatically if you have turned on automatic publishing for a trusted source. Only send announcements that you are entitled to share, and do not include other people's personal data. Use of our WhatsApp number is also subject to WhatsApp's own terms.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- publish malware, deceptive or harmful links, or content that is illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit;
- impersonate another person, developer or organisation, or misrepresent an app's origin, features or accessibility;
- send spam, abuse the contact, subscription or issue forms, or try to bypass our rate limits and checks;
- scrape the site in a way that harms its performance, or probe, attack or disrupt the service;
- use the service to collect personal data about others without a lawful basis.
6. Third-party apps and links
Apps, files, stores and websites linked from a11y.tr are provided by their developers or third parties. We do not review or guarantee them, and we are not a party to any agreement between you and a developer. Download and install software at your own risk. Where a developer provides a checksum, we recommend you verify it. A listing on a11y.tr, including an accessibility note, is not an endorsement or a certification.
7. Subscriptions and emails
You can subscribe to a developer, an app or platform updates. We send a confirmation first. Every email includes an unsubscribe link and unsubscribing takes effect immediately.
8. Feedback and issue reports
Issue reports and questions go to the developer of the app and may be public. Developers decide whether and when to respond. We do not guarantee support, fixes or response times for any app.
9. Moderation and removal
We may remove content, suspend or close accounts, or decline applications when we reasonably believe these terms are breached, when content is harmful, or when we are legally required to. Where practical, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. To report content, email [email protected].
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and accessible, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA; if you hit an accessibility barrier, tell us and we will treat it as a priority bug.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data or profit, or for the content, availability or security of third-party apps and sites. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using the service or close your account at any time; see how to delete your data. Sections that by their nature should continue (for example 3, 6 and 11) continue after termination.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, notify account holders. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
